EACH eggs-travaganza to keep the kids entertained this Easter

Prizes will be up for grabs at shops of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) across the region during the charity’s Easter Eggs-travaganza.

The campaign is to run from Saturday, 1 April to Sunday, 16 April and promises to keep children entertained in the school holidays.

Activities will be led by a hunt for cardboard eggs across EACH’s 22 shops. Customers who find five in any one store will be able to instantly exchange them for a clutch of mini chocolate eggs.

There will also be a colouring competition, with art sets on offer to the winners, while anyone picking up a bargain toy will also receive a children’s book free.

Other highlights include an Easter raffle, various competitions and a daily 3pm story time in Holt, a tombola, beat the buzzer contest and more in Long Stratton,  Easter-themed crafts in Wymondham and an Easter hamper prize draw in Swaffham. The team from EACH’s shop in Unthank Road, Norwich will have a street fair stall on Saturday, 15 April in addition to in-store competitions.

Ian Nicolson, EACH Head of Retail and Trading, said: “We’re eggs-tremely egg-cited to be launching this campaign, which is a cracking way to keep the kids entertained these Easter holidays.

“With so much going on we’re really looking forward to welcoming parents and children through our shop doors.

“A big thank you to Kinnerton, in Fakenham, for providing the tasty treats we have available as instant win prizes.”

EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, as well as supporting their families.

That care can be delivered at one of the charity’s three hospices in Milton, Cambridgeshire, Quidenham, Norfolk, or The Treehouse, in Ipswich, at home or in hospital.

The good cause relies on voluntary donations for the majority of its income and each year needs to raise £2.5 million from its shops.
