One of the great things about Norwich is you only have to drive for a few minutes and you can be out in the countryside., enjoying places such as Whitlingham Country Park.

This attractive destination is unbelievably only 2 miles by road from the centre of Norwich.

Whitlingham broads is definitely a good place to take the family for a healthy walk.If it was just me I would definitely take a leisurely stroll around the great broad because it’s a good 3 mile walk, however young kids don’t like to walk that far so the little broad is much more achievable with little legs, who also like to play on its man-made beach. Sometimes they have enough energy to keep walking so we wander up to the visitor’s centre for a drink and a snack. We’ve not tried the activity centre yet, but we’re hoping to take the kids out on a boat next year (though I’m not sure I’ll let them steer!)
