Pupils from Spooner Row School help out local Star Throwers Charity

Four pupils from Spooner Row Primary School have been bringing some Christmas cheer to local cancer support charity Star Throwers by decorating the Christmas tree at their support centre in Wymondham.

Nancy, Daniel, Teila and Edie, who are the Senior members of Spooner Row’s School Council, came to the Star Throwers centre on the morning on Thursday 7th December accompanied by Head Teacher, Bridget Hanton, and did a brilliant job in bringing some festive cheer and sparkle to Star Throwers. The Christmas tree has been put up in time for the annual Star Throwers Coffee Morning, which takes place on Saturday 16th December from 10am – 1pm at the Star Throwers centre on Melton Road in Wymondham.

Victoria Pigg, Assistant Manager at Star Throwers said: “We were delighted to have the children along from Spooner Row School to decorate our Christmas tree, they did a fantastic job and were a real credit to the school.”

Bridget Hanton, Head Teacher said: “We were really pleased to be invited along to decorate the Star Thrower’s Christmas tree, as a school we are keen to support local charities. The children were very excited and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.”
