New Massage Hut at The Grove offers the perfect retreat for all

The Grove Cromer is teaming up with The Massage Hut to offer hotel guests and visitors holistic massage therapy seven days a week, in a tranquil wooden cabin surrounded by trees and birdsong.

The Massage Hut is a team of four therapists – Christy, Pat, Jason and Ashlee – who all qualified with the Massage Training Institute, a qualification that is recognised by the UK regulatory body for complementary healthcare practitioners, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). This means that as well as being able to offer relaxing pamper sessions, therapists are trained to understand and work with clients who have short and long term health issues.

Owner, Christy Lewis-Phillips, is a Cromer resident with a young family who aims to build a business that connects with locals and visitors to the area.

Christy says, “I am a trained holistic massage therapist and was looking around for a studio to work from, but there’s not much in this area. I visit The Grove regularly with my family and really love the ambience there, so I made contact with Chris and Richard Graveling (owners of The Grove) to see if I could work as an onsite therapist at the hotel. After a couple of meetings, we all agreed that a peaceful cabin in the gardens would be an ideal place to offer the therapies from and the idea for The Massage Hut was born! It will be great to offer an additional service to hotel guests, but I’d also really like the local community to see it as a place to come for some down time and as an appealing activity for tourists to the area too. Massage can be really beneficial for anyone, whether you feel in good health or not, and that’s why our client-focussed approach is so important. ”

The Massage Hut at The Grove Cromer

The Grove has been established for over eighty years and is in its third generation of owners.  It has recently (October 2017) won the eviivo Hidden Gem award, fighting off some fierce competition in the South East (https://eviivo.com/star-among-stars-award-2017/).

Chris Graveling says “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Christy and The Massage Hut. We foresee this bringing a lovely service to the residents of Cromer, as well as offering another great reason for people to visit Cromer throughout the year. The part of the garden we have chosen was always known as The Secret Garden when we were growing up because it is hidden away behind Portugal Laurel and Bay trees; it is great to see it being used as a place of relaxation”.

The Massage Hut will be open every day from 10am to 5pm, except Thursdays when evening bookings are offered between 1pm to 7pm, making it more accessible to local residents who work.

Treatments can be booked online at www.the-massage-hut.co.uk and the team can be contacted at info@the-massage-hut.co.uk or via their Facebook page The Massage Hut.

Holistic treatments range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, and are tailored to each client’s individual need on the day. Special offers are available via The Massage Hut (see website).

Gift vouchers will be available from both websites, and Christy will be running a seated massage stand in Cromer Parish Hall at the Cromer Lights on event on 2nd December where she will be taking bookings for The Massage Hut and selling gift vouchers for Christmas.
