With two boys needing to burn off some energy we took advantage of the opportunity to go along to Active Norfolk‘s Free fun activities at the UEA Sportspark. During the day there was also some great Sports Relief activities going on including a Sport Relief Mile, Sport Relief Swimathon and Sport Relief Cycle.
We’ve included a few pictures on this post to show you some of the activities our boys took part in. Before we get to the piccies here’s a run-down of some of the activities that were available for free on the day:
- Rugby taster sessions
- Cricket factory
- Football speed kick with Community Sports Foundation
- “Bouncy Goalie” fun with Norfolk FA
- Athletics
- Sports massage
- Taster sessions in the Sportspark Spring Centre
- EA Tennis
- Golf, Badminton, Boxing, Squash, and plenty more!
We had a great time and after several hours trying out lots of sports it did tire the boys out. Well, for a few minutes anyway!
Cricket Factory – catching and speed throws! (above)
Boxing – take on the punch bags or learn jabbing techniques.
Cycling circuit
Practice your golf swing and accuracy.
A collection of vintage bicycles were also on display, accompanied by persons in Victorian dress
We could do with one of these at home; Gladiators. Ready!
We could definitely do with one of these at home! The “football cannon” that fired the balls at the goalies would be pretty cool too!
