Seething Control Tower Museum
Seething Control Tower Museum is in the Control Tower (restored in 1984) of the former RAF Seething. The museum is at the entrance to Seething Airfield, a popular general aviation airfield which is owned and operated by its own flying club.
The Control Tower museum houses exhibits and photographs, and associated memorabilia over two floors, all connected with the airfield and the 448th Bomb Group. Up the narrow staircase are collections of photographs, of the aircraft which flew from Station 146
Behind the control tower there is a former war time Nissen Hut, where there are more exhibits and is a reminder of the type of building which once provided accommodation and offices at the airfield.
On the lawn to one side of the tower stands the memorial to those who served here.
NOTE: Seething Tower is only open to the public on the first Sunday in the month May – October 10-am to 5-pm.
