Local Charity, the Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSEA) who’s projects include Banham Zoo and Africa Alive!, are looking for members of the public to join them on a trek to the top of Kilimanjaro. This will be to raise funds for their work helping to conserve some of the world’s most endangered species. They also help to educate school children in Norfolk and Suffolk about wildlife from around the world.

This once in a life time opportunity is a chance to scale Africa’s highest free standing peak whilst in the safe hands of Everest scaling Jo Bradshaw from the company 360 Expeditions. Participants will climb over the course of a week, taking a route that allows for a longer acclimatisation to the altitude, before scaling the peak and heading home.

Commenting Martin Goymour, CEO of ZSEA said “ZSEA contributes to conservation by both funding overseas projects as well as through conservation efforts at our two parks, Africa Alive! and Banham Zoo. The money raised will go directly to support the animals in our care, many of which are critically endangered species. With the generous help of the residents of East Anglia, we are helping make our local contribution to worldwide conservation.”

It’s set to be a fantastic opportunity to see Tanzania, its environment and wildlife up close and personal on this ten-day trek from 18th January – 28th January 2017. Places are expected to go fast.
