North Walsham Rugby Football Club host charity lunch to raise funds for local testicular cancer charity.

On 26th November 2016, North Walsham Rugby Football Club hosted their annual charity pre-match lunch, to raise funds for local testicular cancer charity, It’s On The Ball.

Over 90 people attended the 4-course meal, which was followed with a raffle & fundraising auction. Various local businesses donated a variety of gifts and experiences which helped to raise £2,482.00 on the day.

Chairman of It’s On The Ball, Vince Wolverson, said, ‘We were overwhelmed by the support we received from everyone at North Walsham Rugby Club and cannot thank them enough for their warm hospitality. The event gave us a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of testicular cancer to a new group of people and we really hope that our ‘check yourself’ message will spread to others within the rugby community. I’d like to thank everyone at North Walsham RFC for inviting us to be their chosen charity for this fundraising lunch and to everyone who attended or donated a gift to help us raise such an incredible amount of money’.

tobi-pantsDave Horne, President of North Walsham RFC said ‘This was a very successful event and that the Club were very pleased to support this charity’. He also wished to acknowledge the hard work put in by Keith Jarvis of NWRFC who had organised the event and made it such a successful day all round.
