Ancient House, situated on White Hart Street in Thetford, is one of the best examples of an early Tudor town house in East Anglia. This oak-framed Tudor merchant’s house is now a museum containing replicas of the Thetford Treasure (also known as the Thetford Treasure) and has displays about flint knapping, rabbit warreners and wildlife in the brecks.
The Ancient House was gifted to the town by Prince Frederick Duleep Singh.
