Swaffham Market can lay claim to over 800 Years of history, dating back to 1215, the first recorded year of a market in the town. The modern-day Swaffham Markets offer a wide range of goods and are a popular attraction for residents and visitors.
On Saturdays there is an outdoor market and auction with over 30 stalls with a wide range of good including fresh meat, fruit & vegetables, cheeses & eggs, housewares, confectionery, clothes, tools, bric-a-brac and plants. This popular market attracts many visitors to the town. Also on Saturday, there is a poultry auction held at the Raceway on the outskirts of Swaffham.
On Fridays there is an indoor market at the Assembly Rooms. This market offers an array of homemade cakes, jams and pickles alongside vintage jewellery and a plethora of other temptations. On some occasions during the year this market rolls over to Saturday.
